Project Manager 

(Vienna, AT, part-time, 20h/week)


Work closely with Dr. Inga Koneczny, Coordinator of the IgG4-TREAT Consortium at the Medical University of Vienna, to coordinate high-profile research projects studying severe autoimmune diseases and ensure the smooth management of an international EU research project aimed at training PhD students. This is a role for someone who can navigate both the scientific and administrative worlds - bringing together project management, science communication, and operational support.

The current monthly minimum salary for this position is 3.390 Euro Brutto (14 times per year) on a full-time basis and may be increased based on collective agreement provisions by considering prior relevant experience and other salary components related to the specifics of the role.

Your tasks:

  • Administrative project management of an EU Consortium, including reporting and documentation management, ongoing administration, monitoring budgets and invoicing.
  • Communication with partner institutions, collaborators and European Research Executive Agency
  • Organization and execution of events, meetings, seminars, and training sessions.
  • Management of the project website and social media channels, including the dissemination of research results

Your qualifications:

  • You hold a university degree (min. Bachelor's level)
  • You have excellent English and German skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Canva and experience with social media management
  • You work independently and conscientiously
  • You are solution-oriented, well-organized, and comfortable working across diverse tasks
  • A friendly demeanor and good teamwork are particularly important to you

Advantages (not mandatory):

  • Proven experience in research or grant management, preferably with EU or international projects
  • Science communication skills
  • Experience in a university environment
  • Experience with financial management of projects or SAP
  • Additional foreign language skills
